Last night, the girl finally had a break from mid-terms at chiro school, so we watched a bit of DVD. As it so happens, we popped in an episode of X-Files and got reacquainted with the characters. We both snickered at a dramatic scene of St. Scully demanding “Do it, or I’ll do it myself! I’m a doctor!”<\/p>\n
And then it hit me! I turned to the girl, “I’ve got it; here’s your career path! You’ll graduate as a doctor of chiropractic, and then just like your idol, Agent Scully, you’ll go straight from med school into the FBI academy.” She snorted derisively (apparently I provide her with considerable opportunity to do so) and said “I don’t see that happening.”<\/p>\n
Undaunted, I pressed on. “No, no, it’ll work! I can see it now!”<\/p>\n
– “I’m working on updating the profile for serial killers. Did you know 73% of all serial killers have subluxation in the cervical vertebra?”<\/p>\n
– “The woman you’re looking for has a left leg that’s 1\/8th of an inch shorter than her right.”<\/p>\n
– “I want to put an APB out on this suspect. His left shoulder is elevated 1\/2 of an inch, his left arm exhibits external rotation and he is subject to anterior pelvis tilt. What? His hair color? I didn’t notice.”<\/p>\n
